Training
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from San Francisco State University, and my psychotherapy private practice is in the California East Bay, in Berkeley and Oakland.

I have been working as a psychotherapist since 2006, while in graduate school and after graduation. Since then I have worked in a variety of different clinical settings:

  • SF State Psychology Clinic, working with university students
  • Headstart, working with pre-schoolers
  • TALKLine Family Support Center, working with parents and families
  • El Cerrito High School, working with teenagers
  • The Psychotherapy Institute, as part of their postgraduate training program, working with individual adults and couples
  • Since 2011 in several private practice settings

Throughout my clinical training, I am grateful to have been mentored by a diverse group of exceptional psychotherapist teachers and peers who challenged me and gave me the needed nourishment to hone my skills and develop the roots of my psychotherapy practice.

As of December, 2014, I was licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist and I was proud to launch my own practice in January of 2015.

Therapeutic Style
My style is primarily psychodynamic and relational in nature. This means that I am interested in early life experience as well as what is going on right now, and I use the relationship that develops in the therapy room as a unique space in which we can explore your struggles and together work on solutions. I am also influenced by object relations, family systems, somatic psychology and humanistic schools of thought.

Having worked in several different clinical settings, I value opportunities to work as part of a team to support clients and I am happy to work collaboratively with other helping professionals when clinically appropriate.

Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked for eight years in conflict resolution as a mediator and facilitator.

I am a natural helper committed to seeking support and guidance as an adjunct to how I myself work and live.

I am originally from New York City.
